Sometimes what looks like a great offensive play is actually a very bad defensive play. That's how Bears DE Julius Peppers views Marshawn Lynch's backbreaking 67-yard TD run against us last Saturday. Can't say I disagree. Our defense made Lynch look like Walter Payton on that play. Peppers says it was due to a "lack of effort" by a couple of our guys. A couple? I'd be more inclined to call out all eleven. Scott Shanle had Lynch wrapped up at the line of scrimmage and, to quote Dennis Green, let him off the hook.
