After his worst performance of the season last week against Atlanta, with only two yards receiving and one yard rushing, I'm sure some of you less intelligent fantasy football owners are thinking about benching Saints running back Darren Sproles. But I'm here to tell you, do not to make that move. Nobody puts Darren in a corner.
Mark Ingram might not be a bad choice to start either, come to think about it. He still hasn't had that big breakout performance we've all been waiting for and with the bye this week, he's had extra time to get healthy. Or you might want to start Pierre Thomas, who has two touchdowns in his last three games and is also looking for redemption following a subpar performance against the Falcons. Heck, maybe Chris Ivory will make a splash for the first time this season.
The point is, one of the Saints running backs is sure to maybe have a sorta huge day this week. New Orleans is taking on the NY Giants this Monday night, a team with a less-than-stellar defense. They're currently ranked 21st overall and an even worse 23rd in run defense. Last week against the Eagles they gave up 136 yards on the ground and I keep hearing it's the weak spot to attack against this defense.
That's why I'm suggesting all fantasy football owners to start a Saints running back this week. I just don't know which one.
