Falcons 10 @ Saints 21: Second Half Open Thread

Getty Images

The Saints have played well thus far, taking a 21-10 lead into the half, and short of a surprise onside kick called and then recovered by the Falcons, or some other catastrophe, the Saints will get the ball to start the second half, looking to pad this 11-point spread.

Drew Brees has thrown for 230 yards and is only 75 yards from Marino's mark. He did throw a red zone interception, but it was a bad miss by Jimmy Graham on the play combined with a very smart play by the Falcons defense to knock the ball back off the end line and up into the air for someone to grab it. The Saints defense held, though, forcing a punt near midfield that went into the end zone. Brees and company then drove it right back down to the red zone and Graham held onto a pass from Brees in the end zone this time for the 21-10 lead.

Marques Colston has been a beast, 6 for 69 with a TD, and the Saints have already rushed for more yards than they did last time, so it's all lining up well for the win if they keep it going.

The defense has played pretty well with tackling well and making a few stops in a timely fashion.

Let's get on with the second half!!
