The New Orleans Saints have added some depth to their defensive line tonight by signing DE Turk McBride. The news comes via Larry Holder on Twitter:
#Saints have agreed to terms with DE Turk McBride, according to a league source.
McBride played with the Lions last year, recording five sacks. Prior to that he was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.
SB Nation colleague Sean Yuille from Pride of Detroit doesn't seem to happy about the Lions losing McBride:
...the only two things left for the Detroit Lions to do were to re-sign defensive ends Cliff Avril and Turk McBride. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the latter of the two will end up being re-signed by the Lions...
I was hoping the Lions would bring McBride back. While he wasn't a starter, he is talented and a great fit in the Lions' defense
