Saints Fan Lawsuit Against NFL is Moronic

Lawsuit flies directly in the face of what it means to be a true Saints fan.

John David Mercer-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

In case you haven't heard yet, a Saints fan from St. Tammany Parish named David James Mancina has filed a class action lawsuit against Roger Goodell and the NFL for damages in excess of $5 million.

The suit claims that Roger Goodell "without due process, sufficient evidence, and without consideration for the rights of the paying ticket holder Plaintiffs...summarily, without due process or credible evidence, suspended Sean Payton...Joe Vitt...Jonathan Vilma...Will Smith...Mickey Loomis...and forfeiture of second round draft choices in the 2012 and 2013 drafts, thereby devastating: the quality of the Saints; the value of the tickets purchased by Plaintiff and the class subsequent to their purchase; and the confidence and emotional attachment of Plaintiff...to the Saints, due to the unfair, prejudicial, unreasonable, and vindictive, actions of the Commissioner and the League."

You've got to be f***ing kidding me. Before you even start searching, no this is not one of my satire pieces. This guy wants $5,000,000 because his emotional attachment to the Saints has been devastated? How the hell do you even come up with a monetary number for devastated emotional attachment? What's the formula for that?

This is exactly what's wrong with our country. We're a nation of whiny babies who think they're owed everything and who try to use the court system as a quick cash grab. Hey, we're all pissed off about how this entire Bountygate thing has turned out but can't we deal with it like adults.

So congrats to this idiot fan, you've gotten your 15 minutes of fame. Now fade back into obscurity where you belong. All the experts are in agreement that this lawsuit doesn't stand a chance, as it should.

And by the way, any Saints fan who supports this lawsuit is essentially rooting against the team for the rest of the season because the team would need to continue playing poorly and lose games in order to support the lawsuits claim that the Bountygate penalties devastated the quality of the team. Way to be a real fan.
