Saints RB Darren Sproles Active vs. 49ers

The New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers have announced their inactive players for today's game.

The Saints just announced their inactive players for today's game against the 49ers, as per the team's official twitter feed.

As expected, Zach Strief and Charles Brown will be MIA from the O-line, and the following defensive players are out:

DE Junior Galette, DT Tyrunn Walker, LB Scott Shanle, and CBs Corey White and Elbert Mack.

What does all this mean? Darren Sproles is BACK, bitches!!! Larry Holder expands in his nola.com piece:

Sproles returns to the lineup after missing three games with a hand injury. Sproles appeared to be on his way back to play last week against Oakland, but the team played it safe with Sproles' surgically repaired hand and sat him out.

That gives the Saints a full backfield active for the first time all season, and hopefully they'll scheme well for them and allow the Saints to establish some kind of ground game today, with Mark Ingram, Chris Ivory, Pierre Thomas, Sproles and Travaris Cadet suiting up.

And I just caught the 49ers inactives, as tweeted by Larry Holder...

inactives: QB Scott Tolzien, WR A.J. Jenkins, RB LaMichael James, S Trenton Robinson, DL Will Tukuafu, G Joe Looney, DT Ian Williams

I'm not sure how this shapes up for the Niners Nation.

Time to discuss!!!
