Saints vs Falcons First Half Recap

What the hell was with that last play?

Scott Cunningham

It's been a tough first half for the New Orleans Saints in the Georgia Dome, as they trail the Atlanta Falcons by a score of 17-0. I am having trouble putting together complete sentences and formulating clear thoughts so I'm just going to recap the first half with a few bullet points. I think I'm mostly just flabbergasted by that last play to end the half and the wasted opportunity to get another touchdown and make the game close.

  • Drew Brees is really not playing well. Under throws, poor decisions. He's got two interceptions.
  • Michael Turner has been able to do whatever he wants. Absolutely gashing the Saints defense.
  • Mark Ingram has your lone Saints touchdown.
  • Drew Brees' streak of consecutive games with a touchdown pass is in jeopardy if he doesn't throw one.
  • Saints will start the second half with the ball.
