New Orleans Saints, Sean Payton have remained surprisingly patient over contract issue: First-and-10 - New Orleans Saints Football NFL News - NOLA.com
If things don't work out, there will be plenty of blame to go around among NFL, team and coach
Sean Payton has a responsibility to the Saints: Letter | NOLA.com
First, he signed a contract, so it's a matter of keeping his word, even if the NFL voided it because of language they didn't like. Fine, fix the language. But he committed to the Saints when he signed that contract, and any man of integrity would honor his commitment.

LAGNIAPPE:
New Orleans Saints season grows even more fascinating this week: First-and-10 - New Orleans Saints Football NFL News - NOLA.com
The Sporting News has been unveiling its midseason player polls throughout the week, and one that stood out was their results for the NFL's dirtiest player. Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh won handily. But even more noteworthy is that no Saints appeared on the list. I won't try to claim that this poll exonerates the Saints from the NFL's bounty allegations, but it is yet another sign that they're not seen around the league as a bunch of dirty players who were out to injure their opponents.
