Dear fans, Goodell's lackeys voted him into positive territory on the Time magazine poll. Lets go fix that, shall we? Pass it on...

Is the New Orleans Pelicans a good team name? No. It's the BEST team name:

Joe Vitt said Drew Brees will be "absolutely" just as aggressive as he normally would be in a game.

Vitt on Cam Jordan: "He has learned how to play the game within the game."

INJ Rep: DNP-> C Brown (right knee), C White

Vitt once again says everybody else practiced.

How many people must block a day?

I agree with all of this. Because I can't let it go either, and also because the '12 Saints make me want to cut myself

Cut me, Mick. Cut me.

How funny would that be if the nyc Madam says Goodell was her client on dr Phil next week...

I think it's great that TIME is featuring Roger Goodell on the cover.

SAINTS @ GIANTS:

Saints missing only two at practice Thursday
The roster is close to full health with only two players held out of the workout. Tackle Charles Brown (right knee) continues to be out after from the injury suffered against the 49ers. Rookie cornerback Corey White (left knee) missed practice after not appearing on Wednesday injury report. Defensive end Martez Wilson, who missed Wednesday with a toe injury, and cornerback Johnny Patrick, who sat yesterday due to illness, were back to full participation along with the rest of the roster.

Eli Manning still gets the question. You know the one, about what makes a quarterback elite and whether he fits in the category.

Pierre-Paul: Drew Brees is "much easier" matchup than RG3 | ProFootballTalk
"As a defense, like, we have to make a statement. We haven’t made a statement ever since, I’ll say, San Francisco. Well, I’m lying, because we did beat up on Green Bay quite a little bit. But, ever since then, we haven’t made a statement. We’ve just been losing," Pierre-Paul said, via Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger. "And we’re all not playing together. When you’re a team, on an organization like this, you’ve got to play together as one. Otherwise, you’ll keep going downhill."

New York Giants work to clarify what Pierre-Paul said about Drew Brees | NOLA.com
"He's not in any way inferring that it's not a difficult task (playing against Brees)," Coughlin said. "I think what he's referring to is the number of assignments and particulars/specifics that the previous offense forced for all the defensive front, linebackers and safeties in terms of assignment football, point-blank. I think he's referring to that. Just the difference in styles; not in any way, that Drew Brees isn't an excellent player, because he wouldn't do that."

New Orleans Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton coordinates improved defense for Saints - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN
"Really, I’m the on-field coordinator," Lofton told FOXSports.com in a telephone interview. "In this system, you’ve got five different calls in one (defensive) call. Your job from what you are seeing is to get the defense in the best call. If you’re not feeling something is there, check out of that call and put the defense in something else.

New Orleans Saints may be struggling, but NY Giants should not expect an easy time against Drew Brees and high-powered offense - NY Daily News
If the Giants were hoping to catch any sort of a break against a struggling New Orleans Saints team on Sunday, Drew Brees made it clear they can forget it. He’s coming off an ugly five-interception performance last Thursday night and he’ll have had more than a week to brood about that.

Knee soreness returns for Hakeem Nicks | ProFootballTalk
Nicks has played in the last seven games despite not being 100 percent so he certainly is still in play for this weekend. Given how little he’s been able to give the team in some of those seven games, however, it isn’t a great sign for the Giants offense that his knee has flared up again.

ROGER GOODELL ON THE COVER OF TIME MAGAZINE? REALLY!?:

Roger Goodell Was A Narc In High School, And He's Proud Of It
What kind of horrible human being looks back on his high school days and thinks, "Boy, that sure was fun when I told on Bobby for drinking Thunderbird behind the equipment shed!"? You can take as many thoughtful-statesman cover shots of Goodell as you like; it still won't cover up the fact that THIS is the man currently in charge of football's future: a hired goon, a glorified lackey who will "protect" the integrity of a sport that has none to begin with by shoving all liability for the health of the players onto the players themselves. Unreal.

" What’s the Problem? The Angry Who Dat
Roger Goodell is on the cover of TIME, and everybody’s all pissy about it. I don’t see what the big deal is. I, for one, think it’s long overdue.

Once the Seahawks Russell Wilson threw an overtime touchdown in Chicago, the New Orleans Saints 2012 playoff dreams for all practical purposes died, so what besides Roger Goodell killed them?

Goodell floats novel idea for replacing kickoffs | ProFootballTalk
Sean Gregory of TIME writes that one of the options being considered for replacing kickoffs entails giving the ball to the team that would have been kicking off at its own 30, automatically facing a fourth down and 15 yards to go. The team can then choose to punt or go for it, via fake punt or otherwise.
