Your daily collection of New Orleans Saints news and opinion. Ed Werder tweets that Tom Benson would sue league for millions if Sean Payton is allowed to leave for Dallas or anywhere else. Question: Where the f*** is the Freeh report!?

Is that what the NYTimes has come to? Posting pure off the cuff speculation by Weatherford, a punter? Thanks for wasting everyone's time

I guess Morstead should come up with a wacky conspiracy theory about Al Qaeda to get quoted in the Times Picayune

My Column: Nothing has refuted Steve Weatherford's findings that Sean Payton is communicating with the Saints.

Such denials hardly hold up versus the weight of the evidence Weatherford presented.

Don't blame the NY Times or Weatherford for the accusations levied against the the New Orleans Saints.

LMAO at NFL removing kickoffs. They'd have to give up an entire extra, unnecessary commercial break after every score. Yeah, right.

I know I'm a little late but TGIF! Have a great day everybody.

These photos bring back some great memories .

Osi Umenyiora has no problem praising opponents | ProFootballTalk
"There’s definitely no carryover for that," Umenyiora said, via the New York Daily News. "I think a lot of times you like to build somebody up only to tear them down. You don’t want to give anybody bulletin-board material. You don’t want to say, ‘Oh, these guys suck’ and then he comes out there and throws for 13 touchdowns on you. So if anything you want to err on the side of caution and say how good he is and then go out there and knock his head off."

BOUNTYFARCE/CONCUSSION LAWSUITS/BULLS*** ABOUT ELIMINATING KICKOFFS: IT'S ALL RELATED, FOLKS!

Roger Goodell's life story can't be told without dissecting his treatment of New Orleans Saints: First-and-10 | NOLA.com
Obviously the cover treatment itself paints Goodell in a prestigious light, almost serving as an endorsement for the way he made an example of the Saints with his extreme bounty punishments. But it was good to see that the article doesn't give the commissioner a free pass for his actions against the Saints.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league's competition committee would consider in the offseason replacing the kickoff.

Bounty case closing in on a conclusion, maybe | ProFootballTalk
Per a source with knowledge of the proceedings, written briefs will be submitted to Tagliabue as soon as Friday. More paperwork also will be filed with Judge Helen Berrigan, who will decide whether to suspend or overturn any suspensions imposed by the league. If Tagliabue upholds the suspensions in full or in part, Judge Berrigan is expected to issue a prompt decision as to whether the suspensions will be tabled while a final decision on their validity is reached.

Why The NFL's "Concussion Crisis" Isn't Really A Concussion Crisis
It could make examples of players and coaches—like New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton and a handful of Saints players—for creating what the league said was a slush fund to reward teammates for injuring opponents. (One thing the league still won't do, despite the urgings of the NFL Players Association, is add independent neurological experts to the sidelines of games.)

BULLS*** SPECULATION BY GIANTS PLAYER THAT SEAN PAYTON IS COMMUNICATING WITH SAINTS:

SATCH NOTE: Considering how Sean Payton and his agent refrained from contract discussions with the Saints some weeks ago until the league sent written permission allowing them to do so, it seems ridiculous for Steve Weatherford to speculate that Payton would risk his reinstatement by contacting his team, coaches, or players. Goodell supposedly said previous to this that he would allow contract discussions, but that wasn't good enough for Payton and his agent because they've learned the word of Goodell cannot be trusted. They insisted on getting it in writing. No way Sean would risk breaking the rules of his bogus suspension and possibly extending it further. No way.

Not everyone believes Payton’s not in contact with Saints | ProFootballTalk
Per the terms of his suspension, Saints coach Sean Payton can’t have any communication with his co-workers in New Orleans, or any team. And while risking the wrath of the guy who doled out the one-year ban would seem plenty of deterrent, not everyone believes that a year without any kind of con...
