Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan State

The Denver Broncos need a run stopper and Worthy is a versatile player who is quite capable of playing multiple positions on the defensive line in both the 4-3 and 3-4 according to many scouts. With the loss of Brodrick Bunkley, the Broncos will have to make the defensive tackle position a priority. They'll also have to fight off the temptation for getting Peyton Manning more offensive weaponry, but even with Bunkley the Broncos run defense left something to be desired. Head coach John Fox is known to be more of a defensive guy than an offensive guru, so getting the draft's best snap anticipating DT may be too much of a temptation to pass up.

Worthy is not known to be a power DT, but he lifted 225 lbs a total of 28 times at his pro day and when you watch game tape you never see him get overpowered in one on one blocking situations. If you watch his game tape (especially the Georgia game last year) you see him constantly overpowering offensive linemen. This in conjuction with the fact that he is incredibly quick off the snap for a 300 pounder make him a dual threat both stopping the run and rushing the passer. In time, he will get double teams which will free up Von Miller to do what he does best.
