Based on the countdown clock, we have just about an hour until the start of the 2012 NFL Draft (aka the annual player selection meeting).

Conventional thinking might have you believe that you shouldn't have much interest in tonight's action, as the Saints don't choose until near the end of the third round, which won't happen until late Friday night. I beg to differ, however.

As Saints and football fans, there is plenty to capture your attention.

You can watch to see what the Saints' division rivals and 2012 opponents do with their choices for ridiculously premature scouting reports.

You can scream GAAAA!! and wish for "what could have been" when the Patriots are on the clock with the pick they got from the Saints in last year's Mark Ingram trade. And then you can clutch your chest and scream again when you realize that the Saints wouldn't have this pick anyway because Roger Goodell would have snatched it for Bountygate punishment.

You can play Saints Draft Bingo (as long as you don't have to work Friday).

You can watch to see where players from your favorite college or alma mater get selected (LSU!! LSU!!! LSU!!). You can holler at teams for passing on players you have rated highly on your board. You can howl in delight when teams make crazy trades. You can chuckle at the talk of potential, upside, value, etc, as you realize that none of theses bobbleheads have any idea what they are talking about. And then there's Mel Kiper's hair.

You can also enjoy all that and more (scintillating conversation, biting wit, bad puns, and cheap image pasting) by watching and playing along with your CSC friends and neighbors, right here.

Hope to see you here!!
