With the 162nd overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints have gone for secondary help with a safety, Corey White, from Samford.
Big, baby-faced, confident, competitive FCS cornerback lacking the speed, quickness and change of direction to stay attached to NFL receivers in man coverage. Best chance to make a roster could be as a strong safety and will have to prove his worth on special teams. Versatility can intrigue. Practice-squad candidate.
Larry Holder's not too impressed...

NFLDraftScout.com has #Saints fifth-round pick Corey White as the No. 625 overall prospect. Really.
Chime in, please...what are your initial reactions to this selection?
Next up for the Saints is their choice in the 6th round, #179 overall, which is the pick they swapped with the Dolphins as part of the Reggie Bush trade.
