Curtis Lofton fitting perfectly with Saints - NFC South Blog - ESPN
"Number one, he’s lost some weight and body fat,’’ New Orleans assistant head coach Joe Vitt said after Thursday’s workout. "His ability to change direction in space, his ability to drop his weight and burst on the ball, and then his angles to the ball and his closing speed have been shocking to me. They’ve been shocking to his teammates too. We know what we’ve got; we’ve got a thumper. We’ve got a guy who loves the contact, he’s a downhill linebacker. To watch his athleticism in space, his ability to flip his hips and burst, has really been a nice addition.’’

Saints coach Joe Vitt talks about whether Drew Brees can dance… and other OTAs reflections -
Chase Daniel is no Brees. Not exactly breaking news there. But watch practice for a few minutes, and it’s evident. The pseudo starter doesn’t throw the ball terribly, and he had a couple of nice deep connections. But during 7-on-7 when the defense started blitzing, Daniel took about four would-be sacks. And when he was pressured, he looked flustered and threw some bad balls. I had thought it would look bad without Brees… and man, does it.

New Orleans Saints secondary subtle early impressions - New Orleans Saints Football NFL News -
Interceptions, or, more accurately, the lack thereof have been a problem for the Saints recently and Spagnuolo has some new drills for his defensive backs. In one, they stand on the side of a high pole and are required to reach around it and catch balls thrown to the opposite side of where they are standing. The backs also have drills catching balls that are painted white on both tips, some times hauling in throws after running a distance under a net designed to keep them low.
