The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a one-year deal with Greg Camarillo, per the wide receiver's agent. The Times-Pic has confirmed the signing and shares a little more about the former Dolphins and Vikings receiver.
Camarillo, 30, caught nine passes for 121 yards last season with the Vikings in his second season in Minnesota. He spent the previous three seasons with the Dolphins. Camarillo (6-2, 200) was a solid contributor in Miami where he combined for 105 catches for 1,165 yards and two touchdowns during the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
Can't say I'm surprised by this addition considering the fact that the Saints are without Adrian Arrington, Nick Toon and now Andy Tanner. Camarillo probably isn't going to move mountains but he's a decent talent to add to the mix.
To make room on the roster the Saints also placed linebacker Chris Chamberlain (knee) and offensive lineman Fenuki Tupou (triceps) on injured reserve.
