The first game of the 2012 NFL preseason is now filed away for all posterity, and the Saints reserves held off a late drive by the Cardinals camp bodies to win 17-10. Apparently, Jonathan Vilma's settlement talks with the league allow him to appear here on CSC, so that's nice.

Make the jump for all the post-game coverage I could track down before having to get ready for work today.

Pat Y. - Let’s run through some thoughts and observations from the New Orleans Saints’ 17-10 victory against the Arizona Cardinals in Sunday night’s Hall of Fame Game.

From Our Man in Canton - Andrew Juge of The Saints Nation

Who dats warming up

Patrick Robinson & Johnny Patrick

Charles Brown & Chase Daniel

Sprolesy getting stretched out pregame

Jermon Bushrod getting ready

Colston & Devery

Giving @thomasmorstead some pregame support

Hanging with @MalcolmJenkins

So Joe Morgan is by far the fastest on field

Me & Bushrod

Told Brees will play one series only. Starters maybe a tad longer but not much

Saints' offense clearly missing Sean Payton. Except not. Driving down at will.

7-0 Saints. Piece of cake. Right down the field.

I'm not listening to broadcast. How many times has the word "bounty" been dropped?

Chase Daniel does not get rid of the ball fast enough. I'm spoiled watching Brees

Ralph Malbrough@SaintsNationBlg on podcast u said Martez Wilson better dominate 2nd team OT. I think he just delivered

Kevin Kolb injured as Arizona Cardinals lose to New Orleans Saints |
Kent Somers - The Cardinals' appearance in the Hall of Fame Game on Sunday evening was their first since 1986. And given the way things went, they might want to wait longer than 26 years to return.

Kent Somers - It's too late in Canton for me to think of a clever intro. So let's get to the meat, such as it is, after a preseason game.

Arizona Cardinals rookies welcome extra chance |
Kent Somers - Most veteran players probably groaned when the Cardinals agreed to play in the Pro Football Hall of Fame game, meaning there would be five preseason games instead of four.
