The first game of the 2012 NFL preseason is now filed away for all posterity, and the Saints reserves held off a late drive by the Cardinals camp bodies to win 17-10. Apparently, Jonathan Vilma's settlement talks with the league allow him to appear here on CSC, so that's nice.

Make the jump for all the post-game coverage I could track down before having to get ready for work today.

Told Brees will play one series only. Starters maybe a tad longer but not much

Saints' offense clearly missing Sean Payton. Except not. Driving down at will.

7-0 Saints. Piece of cake. Right down the field.

I'm not listening to broadcast. How many times has the word "bounty" been dropped?

Chase Daniel does not get rid of the ball fast enough. I'm spoiled watching Brees

Ralph Malbrough@SaintsNationBlg on podcast u said Martez Wilson better dominate 2nd team OT. I think he just delivered
