UPDATE I: Holder's complete story. UPDATE II: Kristian Garic tweets that Andy Tanner is signed to practice squad. UPDATE III (8:40 pm EDT): Holder tweets that Jonathon Amaya is waived.
UPDATE: Now Holder has an actual story about it up on nola.com, with sources cited.
The New Orleans Saints are rounding out their practice squad on Saturday afternoon and it will have some local flavor as former Destrehan standout Jerico Nelson has been signed to the Saints practice squad, according to a league source.
The Saints also claimed safety Rafael Bush off waivers from the Denver Broncos, which means the team will have to make another move as he'll be on the 53-man roster. Bush's agent Brian Anderson confirmed the claim and Bush confirmed the news on his Twitter account. Bush (5-11, 200) played in six games last season in Denver with three tackles.
Nelson signed with the Saints right after the 2012 draft as an undrafted rookie free agent. The Saints waived Nelson in the final round of training camp cuts on Friday.
The Saints also added guard Ricky Henry to their practice squad, according to the Chicago Tribune. The Saints tried to sign Henry (6-4, 310) to their 53-man roster last season, the report said.
UPDATE II: Andrew Juge shared a Kristian Garic retweet in regard to Andy Tanner joining the practice squad:
Kristian Garic @KristianGaric1
#saints sign WR Andy Tanner to practice sqaud (sic)
UPDATE III (8:40 pm): Holder reports that Amaya is waived to make room for the new Bush, and that the Saints will release practice squad roster tomorrow...

#Saints waive S Jonathan Amaya. You could see that coming after picking up Bush off waivers.
Larry Holder @Larry_Holder
And it's Jonathon Amaya. My bad.
Larry Holder @Larry_Holder#Saints won't announce practice squad until Sunday.
