Well, this is really happening.

Maybe I just wasn't being honest with myself about the state of this franchise but things are far worse than I thought. Yahoo! Sports blog Shutdown Corner released their NFL power rankings earlier today and they've got the Saints dead last in the league.

Here is their opinion:

32. New Orleans Saints (0-3)
Aside from reputation, why wouldn't the Saints be last here? Their defense has been the league's worst, and their opponents -- the Redskins, Panthers and Chiefs -- are not a group of offensive juggernauts. Five of their next six games are against the Packers, Chargers, Broncos, Eagles and Falcons. Things might not get better as fast as Saints fans would like.

This is the moment where I get all pissed off, call people names and defend my team but I'm not sure I've got a leg to stand on. So I'm just gonna sit here and take it like a man this time, until the Saints can actually give me a reason to defend them.

And if all of that wasn't bad enough, they've got the Atlanta Falcons ranked as the second best team in the league overall.

Your thoughts? Do the Saints really deserve to be ranked lower than the Browns?
