Saints 14, Packers 21: First Half Recap

Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers both getting it done through the air.

Benny Sieu-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The New Orleans Saints trail the Green Bay Packers 21-14 following a late first half scoring drive that ended with a Darren Sproles touchdown.

As usual the Saints rushing attack is practically non-existent. But two Drew Brees touchdown passes to Sproles and Marques Colston have kept them in the hunt. So far it's been the Jimmy Graham/Marques Colston show.

Drew Brees has now thrown a touchdown pass in 47 consecutive NFL games, tying him with Johnny Unitas for the longest streak in NFL history.

Aaron Rodgers has also been impressive through the air in the first half with three touchdowns, two of them to James Jones.

The Saints will start the second half with the ball.
