Saints vs. Patriots Final Score: New Orleans Loses 30-27 in Final Seconds with Tom Brady Touchdown Pass

The New Orleans Saints failed to hang on against the New England Patriots in the final seconds at Gillette Stadium and lose their first game of the 2013 NFL season by a score of 30-27.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Saints lost an absolute heart-breaker to the New England Patriots 30-27, after Tom Brady threw a touchdown pass to Kenbrell Thompkins with five seconds remaining in the game to win.

The Saints should have won this game. Could have won this game. I am more upset with the offense for not being able to run the clock out to end the game than I am with the defense for allowing the Patriots to score a last-second touchdown.

Jimmy Graham didn't have a catch. Marques Colston was a non-factor. Instead, the Saints were able to nearly win with three lesser-known players Travaris Cadet, Khiry Robinson, and Kenny Stills each getting their first career touchdowns.

I don't really want to talk about this game anymore, it's too upsetting. Saints have a bye next week.
