Jimmy Graham Getting MRI on Foot

The extent of the injury suffered by Saints tight end Jimmy Graham in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Patriots could be more serious than first believed.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that Saints tight end Jimmy Graham is getting an MRI on his foot to determine the extent of his injury.

Graham appeared to suffer an injury in the second half of the Saints' 30-27 loss to the Patriots. Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw a pass in his direction, but the ball wound up in the hands of a Patriots defender for an interception. Graham needed help off the field.

At the time it appeared to be a foot injury, as team doctors were taping his foot on the bench. Graham was able to return to the game.

Keep your fingers crossed, Saints fans. The good news is that the Saints have a bye this week, so Jimmy has an extra week to get healthy.
