49ers vs Saints Score Recap: Saints Lead Niners 14-10 after First Half

The New Orleans Saints lead the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 14-10 after the first half. Except for the two turnovers, the Saints seem to have been more dominant than the score would suggest.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sport

The New Orleans Saints defense is holding strong, keeping the Saints in the lead at the half, despite two turnovers.  The San Francisco 49ers have score twice so far.  The first was a touchdown, after Lance Moore muffed a punt and gave them a short field.  The second time, Rob Ryan's squad held the visitors to a field goal... after Corey White caused a touchback by accidentally sending the ball out of the end zone while trying to stretch out for a pick-6 to cap off his glorious interception.

Despite giving San Francisco the ball twice to keep them in the game, two New Orleans touchdowns -- including a Drew Brees pass to Josh Hill, and a rushing touchdown by fullback Jed Collins -- have kept the Saints in the lead going into the locker room.  Sean Payton is sure to lock down some of the mental errors that we've seen in the first half, and the Saints should be coming out strong to clench the win.

New Orleans gets the ball to start the second half.
