Saints vs. Falcons 2013: Ode to Atlanta ("Sweet Peach Georgia Wine" Parody)

In the spirit of friendly competitive fandom... the songwriter strikes again! This time, a song marking our return to the Georgia Dome, with a line or two taken from a quote by ex-Falcon Curtis Lofton.

As the New Orleans Saints look to continue strong into the second half of their season, despite the short week following a brutal game, we give you this week's song. As can be expected, it was inspired by this Thursday night's game against the Atlanta Falcons. And for our visiting Falcons fans: this is all in good fun. Here's looking forward to a good game!

For the first time, I have decided to take a request. This week's song is the result of cajuncommando58's request/challenge that I "Try to do something with this one for Atlanta..."

Fans from Georgia Whine

Now I was driving a-out of N'awlins, a-headed a-for Atlanta
a-Thinking about another win, knowing it was time
a-When Drew Brees threw for four hundred,
& Ryan knew he was being hunted...
Were you hearing all of those fans from Georgia whine?

After we threw a-them around on the turf floor,
And we scored on them a bit more
They knew that we could come back and beat them a-any old time.
And a-just as a-they covered Stills,
a-Drew decided to throw one to Josh Hill.
He knew even with our rookies we'd make Georgia whine.

Yeah, now how are we supposed to know they're our division rivals?
Seems if one side's always winning, then the other's a trifle.
Well I guess that there's not much they can do

And we're all hearing those fans from Georgia whine.

As all our boys breach that weak offensive line.
