Saints vs. Seahawks 2013: Ode to Seattle ("All Apologies" Nirvana Parody)

New, comments

In the spirit of friendly competitive fandom... the songwriter strikes again! This time, a song marking Monday night's match in Seattle, to compete for the No.1 Seed in the NFC.

Scott Halleran

As the New Orleans Saints look to overcome adverse conditions to take control of the NFC during Monday Night Football, we give you this week's song, inspired by the coming match against the Seattle Seahawks. And for our visiting Seahawks fans: this is all in good fun. Here's looking forward to a good game!

For the second week in a row, I have decided to fulfill a request. This week's song is the result of Hans Petersen's request/challenge.

As usual, I've embedded a video with the original song below... in case you can't get the tune in your head.

Enjoy!

No Apologies

(Parody of "All Apologies" by Nirvana)

We did as we please
No apologies.
The Saints came to play
Going all the way.
We took on Russel Wilson
Showed him how it’s done.
The lesson was free
Courtesy of Brees.

Saints have won
Saints have won; we’re number one
Saints have won
Saints have won

Twelfth man?
Stealth fans.

Seeing the Seahawks lose,
We were all amused.
Gave Pierre the ball
Watched Seattle fall.
And then Jimmy Graham
Beasted out again.
You know that’s got to burn
Watching as New Orleans leads the NFC.

Saints have won
Saints have won; we’re number one
Saints have won
Saints have won

Twelfth man?

Yeah, yeah yeah yeah

[x13]
Number one is all we are.
