Defensive linemen and linebackers completed their on-field workouts yesterday but don't stop paying attention yet, Saints fans. Cornerbacks and safeties will close out the 2013 NFL Combine today and one or two of these players could definitely end up hearing their name called when the Saints are on the clock in the NFL Draft this year.
Yesterday these guys completed the bench press portion of their audition. Safety Shamarko Thomas out of Syracuse led the field with 28 reps, with Oregon safety John Boyett not far behind with 27 reps. Georgia safety Shawn Williams and his 25 reps were good enough for third best. Potential Saints prospect Kenny Vaccaro only registered 15 reps. You can see full results right here on NFL.com.
