Sean Payton, Mickey Loomis Say No Hire Has Been Made for Defensive Coordinator Position

Saints team officials have already responded to earlier reports by Adam Schefter, saying the team has not made any decision on who they plan to hire as defensive coordinator.

General manager Mickey Loomis debunked Schefter's sources:

"No one has been hired yet."

Meanwhile, Saints head coach Sean Payton confirms exactly what Larry Holder told us:

"Todd Grantham, the DC for Georgia will interview on Thursday, and Rob Ryan will interview on Friday."

Wait a minute...the Saints haven't even interviewed Ryan!? Yet Schefter is reporting it's practically a done deal? Would the Saints hire someone they haven't even interviewed yet? I think Schefter blew this one big time.
