New Orleans Saints add Brodrick Bunkley to list of restructured contracts | NOLA.com
Bunkley had been scheduled to count $4.7 million against the salary cap. According to ESPN, Bunkley's new deal drops his cap number to $2.5 million in 2013. Bunkley was slated to make $3.7 million in base salary. The Saints cut his base salary to $750,000 and turned the other $3 million into signing bonus that will be spread through the next four seasons. ESPN also estimated the Saints are around $2.9 million over the salary cap with this move.

New Orleans Saints hold off on using franchise tag this offseason | NOLA.com
As expected, the New Orleans Saints stayed away from using the franchise tag on any of their players as Monday afternoon's deadline has come and gone. The Saints have only used the franchise tag twice since Sean Payton arrived in New Orleans by tagging Drew Brees in 2012 and Charles Grant in 2007.

Breaking down QB situation for every NFL team
Outlook: Brees should rebound from what, for him, was a disappointing 2012 campaign now that Sean Payton has been reinstated as head coach. Daniel is headed toward free agency, but there probably won’t be a huge market for his services. One possibility is Chicago, where former Saints offensive line coach Aaron Kromer has become the new offensive coordinator.

Report: 49ers won't keep Randy Moss; WR sends good-bye tweet - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN
Pro Football Talk cites a source saying that the San Francisco 49ers made it clear at the NFL Scouting Combine that they will “steer clear” of the veteran receiver and do not expect to re-sign him for the 2013 season. Report: 49ers wont keep Randy Moss; WR sends good-bye tweet

At a time when more and more tight ends are claiming that they have been receivers for purposes of the franchise tag, Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer could be raising a similar argument.

Kraft insists Brady deal won’t be re-done | ProFootballTalk
The backlash surely was stronger than the Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady had anticipated. Via carefully leaked partial details, Brady's new contract was sold as a team-first gesture by a player who had opted to take less. Initially, it worked.

Joe Flacco's Ravens contract includes $52M guaranteed - NFL.com
Two numbers in the agreement jump out immediately. The first is the guaranteed money -- $52 million (New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been the benchmark for guaranteed earnings with $60 million from the megadeal he signed last July, including $40 million in the first year; Brady also gets around $60 million guaranteed in the extension he signed last week.) Second, Flacco's salary-cap number in 2013 is $6.8 million. This obviously is a team-friendly figure that will give the Ravens much more flexibility this offseason than previously thought.

Female Kicker Underwhelms at NFL Combine
As Lauren Silberman took to the field on Sunday to make history as the first woman to try out as an NFL kicker, I cued up Chaka Khan’s “I’m Every Woman” in my head. Even if she didn’t make it on a team, which no one expected she would, I fully expected her to represent for women everywhere, to at least show that she deserved to be there. Sure I got a little uneasy as I watched her take 20 seconds to tee up the ball, but that didn’t stop me from mentally singing for Lauren
