With the 82nd overall pick in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints have selected Georgia defensive tackle Jonathan Jenkins.
After trading Chris Ivory to the New York Jets for the No. 106 overall pick in the fourth round, the Saints immediately gave Miami the pick in addition to their No. 109 overall pick to get back into the third round and take Jenkins.
For those of you, like myself, wanting the Saints to take a big bodied NT for the middle of the defensive line, this is your guy. Jenkins checks in at a whopping 358 lbs.
The Saints now only have two picks remaining in the 2013 NFL Draft.
This is another great pick, in my opinion. Not crazy about trading up, but I understand the move. The Saints killed it in the 3rd round, getting two quality players for great value and both filling important needs. Both Terron Armstead and Jenkins fell further than expected.
Chris Ivory says goodbye to New Orleans and fans:
Thankful for the opportunity with the saints but now it's time to part ways..Too all my fans appreciate the love.Chris Ivory is now a #Jet
