NFL Draft 2013: Saints to Visit With Lane Johnson

The New Orleans Saints will host their first offensive draft prospect in a case of wishful thinking.

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

According to a report by's Larry Holder, the New Orleans Saints will be bringing in former Oklahoma offensive tackle Lane Johnson for a visit.

As I noted above, which can be seen by looking at the offensive tackle rankings, this is a bit of wishful thinking by the Saints. Lane, at 6'6" and 303 lbs., is considered by many draft experts to be a top ten pick of the 2013 NFL Draft.

While the Saints may not be thinking of trading up right now to grab Johnson, they will do their homework just in case they decide to or by some chance he does happen to be an option if he falls to them.

At the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine Johnson did 28 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press and was a top performer in his group with a 4.72 40-yard dash, 34 inch vertical leap, 118 inch broad jump, 7.31 3-cone drill, and a 4.52 20-yard shuttle.
