New Orleans Saints Wide Receivers 2012 vs. 2013: Who Has The Edge?

Trying to figure out if the Saints have gotten better or worse this year at the wide receiver position.

USA TODAY Sports

As we enter into the final weeks of the 2013 off-season and inch closer to the start of training camp, I figured now was as good a time as any to examine this year's Saints roster and see if the team's hard work in free agency and the draft has paid off. So we're going position by position to determine whether the team has improved in 2013 compared to last year.

We kick off this series with the wide receiver position. Here's a look at last year's Saints roster and the current roster as it stands right now.

The only major loss to this unit was Devery Henderson, who recently signed with the Washington Redskins. By doing so, the Saints definitely got younger at the position. Colston and Moore are locks this year; Morgan should also be a shoe-in. So it's just a question of who takes the final two, maybe three spots.

If Nick Toon lives up to the hype and can step into Henderson's place after spending his prerequisite first season on IR, then I think this year's receiving corps is more talented. Even better if one of the other young guys surprisingly breaks out as well. Onward and upward for Brees' band of merry men.

The Edge: 2013

What do you guys think? Has this been an off-season of improvement for the Saints' aerial attack?
