As we enter into the final weeks of the 2013 off-season and inch closer to the start of training camp, we're examining this year's Saints roster to see if the front office's hard work in free agency and the draft has paid off. This off-season was definitely one of transition for the Saints' defensive line, not only in scheme but in personnel as well. Because of that, I honestly feel it's damn near impossible to compare this year's candidates with last year's roster. We really just don't know what to expect. But because I'm an optimist, and because I think Rob Ryan will definitely get more out of his players than Spagnuolo, I'd like to think the 2013 defensive line is better off now.
