Saints Roster Cuts 2013 Injury Report

New, comments

Time to take stock of the Saints injury situation now that the team has cut the roster down to the league maximum 75 players and made some roster moves.

It's always tough to nail down the injury Saints' injury situation, particularly during the preseason when teams aren't required to report and especially consider Sean Payton is the head coach of this team.

But here's a reminder of the current injury situation, as best I could put together.

Jonathan Vilma (knee) could return to practice in a few weeks, but could also find himself placed on injured reserve.

Martez Wilson (elbow) was expected to be just about ready to go for the start of the season.

Junior Galette (knee) should also be ready soon.

Marques Colston (foot) appears to be on the mend. He's returned to practice and was dressed for the last preseason game against the Texans but never took a snap. When the games start to count, I think he'll be ready to go.

Jahri Evans (undisclosed) did not play in the last preseason game against the Texans.
