Saints sign WR Steve Breaston, work out Laurent Robinson
Report: Saints sign WR Steve Breaston
Unsubstantiated internet rumors suggest that Joe Morgan, one of several Saints wideouts to suffer injuries during the team's Black & Gold scrimmage Saturday, may have suffered a meniscus injury that could cause him to miss significant time. Morgan was the closest thing to an established NFL deep threat on the current New Orleans roster. Breaston may be an addition to help with any potential experience and speed deficit.
Report: Saints expected to sign Steve Breaston | ProFootballTalk
Ben Volin of the Boston Globe reports that Steve Breaston was also working out for New Orleans and that his workout was impressive enough for him to earn a contract with the team. Presumably that leaves Robinson to hunt for work elsewhere, a task that has been fruitless through visits with several teams since camp opened.
