The Saints sounded rusty on both sides of the ball early, staking the Chiefs to an early 10-3 lead before giving way to the backups, who eventually scored 14 third-quarter points to take the lead. The Chiefs cut the lead to four points with a fourth-quarter FG, but the teams traded punts before the Saints made a few fourth down conversions to run out the clock to end the game, 17-13.
In the words of Jim Henderson, "it wasn't too sloppy for a first preseason game." and that's about all I've got to say until I actually get to see the game on NFL Network's replay on Saturday at 1:00 pm eastern time.
