Just a week ago, Who Dat Nation hit the lowest mark of an increasingly low season and our collective pride had taken a massive hit. Believe it or not though, the New Orleans Saints haven't even hit the halfway point of the season yet, and there's still much to play for, and even be (gasp) optimistic about. The longstanding bastion of Saints dominance awaits this week, Primetime in the Superdome. Standing in the way though, is the Saints' stiffest challenge of the season, in Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Will the Saints' home winning streak continue, or will the Pack put it to an unceremonious end? Let's take a look at all of the matchups in Week 8.
Last week I went 9-6
I told you so: Steelers over Texans!
What do I know: Giants over Cowboys?
Thursday, October 23rd
Chargers(5-2) at Broncos(5-1) - Game of the Week
San Diego rebounds from their surprising Week 7 loss with a surprise of their own, winning a very close game in Denver.
Sunday, October 26th - Ridiculously Early Game
Lions(5-2) at* Falcons(2-5) -Wembley Stadium, London
Detroit has the NFL's top defense and Atlanta's defense is in the bottom 3. Detroit takes it in London town.
Sunday, October 26th - Early Games
Vikings(2-5) at Buccaneers(1-5)
Tampa's defense is the worst in the NFL, their offense is barely any better. Minnesota is at least decent enough on defense and in the running game to win.
The Jets are just... wow. Buffalo wins this divisional game.
Without a rushing attack, Chicago has struggled against the NFL's better teams, that will continue in Foxboro.
Seahawks(3-3) at Panthers(3-3-1)
Seattle's struggles will come to an end in Carolina.
Miami will roll against the "new-to-winning" Jags.
The return of AJ Green will be paramount in Cincy pulling off the upset.
Texans(3-4) at Titans(5-2)
Houston will rebound from their Monday Night loss with a win in the Music City.
Kansas City's rushing attack will lead them to a home victory over their interstate rival.
Sunday, October 26th - Late Games
Philly's offense will overwhelm Arizona in the desert.
Colts(5-2) at Steelers(4-3)
Indy's balance on both offense and defense will be too much for Pittsburgh in the Steel City.
Cleveland can't lose to another winless team in consecutive weeks, can they?
Sunday Night Football
Packers(5-2) at Saints(2-4)
Primetime. Superdome. Go ahead and sleep on the Saints.
Monday, October 27th - Monday Night Football
Redskins(2-5) at Cowboys(6-1)
Dallas wins. Yawn.
That's how I see Week 8 playing out, let's see if the Saints can continue that ol' Superdome magic. Leave us your picks, comments, and insight below.
