Saints News, 10/3/14: Rob Ryan Says Defense Will 'Step Up and Move On' After Losing Jairus Byrd To IR

The big news today is without a doubt the season-ending injury to the Saints' biggest free agent acquisition of the offseason - safety Jairus Byrd. Rob Ryan was asked repeatedly about it today during his press conference and stressed that his remaining players will step up to fill the void. Looks like Rafael Bush will now be the starter at free safety. Ugh! Could this week get any worse? Call in a friendly witch doctor for this team because the Saints have been hit with some awful voodoo these first four weeks!
