Saints Fan Comments Featured In NFL Humor Blogpost

Check out some hilarious(?) Saints fan overreactions to the 49ers loss that were highlighted in a post on the NFL humor blog, Kissing Suzy Kolber.

Hopefully, he stayed off Facebook and nola.com after the loss.

Saints fans were spotlighted Tuesday in a new weekly series on kissingsuzykolber.com this NFL season called _______ Fans React Completely Reasonably. (hyperlink takes you to the original post)

Here's a snippet from the intro that encapsulates the gist of the series...

The rules are simple: Find an annoyed fan base every week and dig out the best-worst publicly-accessible takes. Feel free to laugh, but know always that your team will be next, because all fans are secretly awful.

So, it's no real surprise that we'd be chosen, following the terrible late-game @heroics@ our boys put up to lose to the 49ers in overtime on Sunday.

To be more specific, the author pulls some ridiculously bad-good, funny-sad, offensive, bad grammar-filled postgame comments from the Saints official Facebook page and nola.com, then subtitles them and provides a little commentary to explain why they were chosen.

Here are the comment categories for this week:

BEST FINGERGUNS AFTERWARDS

BEST STANDARD PENALTY FOR FAILURE

BEST ARGUMENT AGAINST '19 KIDS AND COUNTING'

BEST REASON TO STOP WRITING THIS COLUMN BECAUSE I AM SUDDENLY HUNGRY

BEST FORLORN PUPPY

BEST SIGH

BEST MISSING OF THE FOREST FOR THE TREES

BEST OF NOLA.COM

TAKE OF THE WEEK

And here's a sample bit (Best Standard Penalty) to give you a taste of what you can get more of by clicking the hotlink above in the lead.

Fan Comment:

Jeff G's: We got cheated, and I hope the refs get Ebola then get kidnapped by ISIS and beheaded.

Author Commentary:

Well that's a completely balanced punishment for...calling a penalty that actually happened. Look, I get it. It's a s****y situation. Cox probably sold it well, but it still happened. And MAN do Saints fans not like the call. It's sort of expected, really. I guess I don't fault them for making s****y comments about it, because any fan is going to be irate at the situation. But look: why would the ISIS guys even kidnap the ebola ref when beheading him might spread the disease? Think about your moronic insults, people.

I've been reading this stuff all season and chuckled, and even was able to chuckle at this one, despite the ache I'm feeling over the still-fresh loss. And I didn't notice any quotes pulled from Tyler's post-game thread on CSC, so there's that. "We're not the worst! We're not the worst! We're not the worst!"

Enjoy, if you will, and share your reactions in the comments, but be careful, for someone might read them and post them on another blog...lulz.
