NFL Picks Week 10: Settling The Score

The Saints face their long-time rivals in the Niners as they return home to the Superdome following their mini-bye week. Can the Saints go over the .500 mark for the first time this season? That question and more will be answered in Week 10.

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The NFC South leading New Orleans Saints return to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for the first of a three game homestand.  Their first opponent is arguably their biggest challenger in the San Francisco 49ers.  While few expected these teams to both enter this Week 10 matchup with 4-4 records, that should mean very little to the ferocity and intensity with which this game is played.  This game headlines a fantastic slate of games this week, so let's get our Week 10 preview underway.

Last week I went 9-4

I told you soPatriots over Broncos!

What do I knowChargers over Dolphins?

Thursday, November 6th

Browns(5-3) at Bengals(5-2-1)

Giovani Bernard will lead Cincy to a lopsided home win over Cleveland.

Pick: Bengals

Sunday, November 9th - Early Games

Chiefs(5-3) at Bills(5-3)

Kansas City's rushing game and stingy defense will make the difference in this low-scoring game in rainy Buffalo.

Pick: Chiefs

Dolphins(5-3) at Lions(6-2) - Game of the Week

As impressive as Detroit's top-ranked defense has been, the Lions haven't faced a defense as good as Miami's third-ranked unit.  Miami will pull off the road upset by forcing the Lions to play one dimensional football, putting too much pressure on Matthew Stafford.

Pick: Dolphins

Cowboys(6-3) at Jaguars(1-8) - Wembley Stadium, London

Jerry Jones is desperate, besides, Dallas can't blow this gimme of a game, right?

Pick: Cowboys

Titans(2-6) at Ravens(5-4)

Baltimore should double-up Tennessee here at home.

Pick: Ravens

Steelers(6-3) at Jets(1-8)

There will be a whole lot of passing yards in this one, unfortunately for Rex, it will all be from Pittsburgh.

Pick: Steelers

Falcons(2-6) at Buccaneers(1-7)

The bottom falls out for Mike Smith here as Tampa beats Atlanta, 42-28.

Pick: Buccaneers

49ers(4-4) at Saints(4-4)

If New Orleans is going to lose a game in the Superdome this season, this is the one.  They won't.  Saints win 28-21.

Pick: Saints

Sunday, November 9th - Late Games

Broncos(6-2) at Raiders(0-8)

Denver rebounds from last week's loss with a 31-7 win in Oakland.

Pick: Broncos

Rams(3-5) at Cardinals(7-1)

I'm told that Arizona is apparently some sort of a great team, while being great at nothing at all.  I'll buy it this week, Cards by 20, come see me in January though.  In fact...

Dear 8 lb, 6 oz, newborn baby Jesus1000, please let the Saints play this Falcon-level fraud of an NFC top seed in the divisional round of the playoffs this coming January.  Thank you.

Pick: Cardinals

Giants(3-5) at Seahawks(5-3)

I'd like to pick the Giants in an upset here, but I just can't.  The rain and noise will lead to a sloppy home win for Seattle.

Pick: Seahawks

Sunday Night Football

Bears(3-5) at Packers(5-3)

Green Bay will edge out Chicago in a much closer game than their last meeting.

Pick: Packers

Monday, November 10th - Monday Night Football

Panthers(3-5-1) at Eagles(6-2)

LeSean McCoy along with a solid pass rush will lead Philly to an easy home victory over Carolina.

Pick: Eagles
