NFL Free Agency 2014: Saints Re-sign Zach Strief

It looks like Zach Strief will end his career as a New Orleans Saint, where it all started.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Saints have re-signed right tackle Zach Strief to a five-year deal, according to Greg Bensel on Twitter:

The potential total value of Strief's contract is $20.5 million, with $8.4 million of that guaranteed money.

With this signing, the Saints are a little more solid now along the offensive line and can look to address other areas of need.

Can't say I'm surprised by this announcement. I called the Strief signing last week, and even nailed the exact length of the deal.

Strief is one of the longest tenured Saints player on the roster and will remain so for another five years. This is a good move on the part of the Saints. There really weren't any better options at tackle on the free agent market at this point and Strief deserves to end his career where it started.
