Every NFL off-season we always do something silly here as a community to help pass the time. This year we're going to do something extra special.
Those who listen to our weekly podcast know about the "Most Hated Person in Saints History" March Madness tournament that we've started running this week. Well, we're going to open it up to all of you guys and run an identical tournament concurrently that you, the reader, will decide.
We've got a full 64-person bracket packed with all the ghosts from Saints past that you love to hate. We will go matchup by matchup, choosing the more hated Saints figure each time, until we've finally crowned a winner as the most hated person in Saints history.
Your decision can be based on anything you'd like, whether it's on the field performance of off the field antics. I highly encourage those veteran fans to share there memories of the persons in question and make their arguments for or against.
Our tournament bracket can be found RIGHT HERE. Go ahead and bookmark that. For easy reference, however, the bracket will also be found in each post.
But before we get started, I am going to open our entire bracket up to predictions. That's right, before the tournament starts readers will be allowed to complete their own prediction bracket, basing their answers on who they think will win the popular vote of the community.
You can fill out your prediction bracket on that page above. You'll need to create an account over there to do so. I will leave predictions open for 24 hours. If you don't want to make predictions, that's fine you'll still be able to participate in the most important part of the tournament by voting in each of the matchups and helping choose each winner once the tournament starts.
A huge thank you to Andrew Juge, Ralph Malbrough, and Kevin Held for their wealth of Saints knowledge and for putting this giant bracket together.
