New Orleans Saints GM Mickey Loomis announced this evening that the team has agreed to keep Haralson around for another year. New Orleans picked him up from the San Francisco 49ers in a trade last August, when injuries threatened the black and gold's depth at OLB, and he was a solid piece in Rob Ryan's new defense.
Haralson tallied 25 sacks in 102 games for the 49ers, who drafted him in 2006 out of Tennessee. While playing all 16 games (8 starts) for the Saints last year, he tallied 35 tackles (16 solo) and 3.5 sacks, and defended one pass.
