NFL Mock Draft 2014: Atlanta Falcons Select Greg Robinson

Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn

At the end of the day, if the Falcons are sitting at #6, I'm looking hard at two players: Khalil Mack and Greg Robinson. Getting Robinson is a great move for a team that has scuffled with average to mediocre tackle play for a few seasons now.

Robinson may be the most athletically gifted tackle in the draft, a mauler as a run blocker and someone who should be able to develop into a great left tackle in the NFL. The Falcons can let him compete with Sam Baker at left tackle in his rookie season, and even if he doesn't win, he's an immediate and rather gigantic upgrade at right tackle, where the Falcons trotted out Lamar Holmes and Jeremy Trueblood just a year ago. The Falcons may actually be able to run the football behind Robinson.

So yeah, I'm happy with this pick.
