NFL Draft 2014: New Orleans Saints 2014 Mock Draft Database

As I do every year around this time, I have compiled a collection of 2014 NFL mock drafts from around the web and listed their pick for the Saints with the No. 27 overall selection. Forty-one different mock drafts currently make up this years database. All have been updated since mid-April.

So what does this database tell us? That nobody has a damn clue who the Saints are going to draft or even what position.

Of the 41 mock drafts, there are 17 different players at 7 different positions assigned to the Saints with the 27th overall pick. That's a much wider distribution than we've ever seen in years past. This is because the Saints don't have on particular glaring need they need to fill this year. Which means they have the luxury of choosing the best available player when they're on the clock next month.

Most of the mocks have the Saints picking a defensive player, with the most popular position being linebacker. Surprisingly, the most mocked player to the Saints is Auburn's Dee Ford, not a wide receiver or cornerback.
