Saints News, 4/30/14: Lance Moore Makes QB Comparison, Saints Fans Freak Out

New, comments

Moore told ESPN on Tuesday that his new QB Ben Roethlisberger has “a little bit stronger arm, maybe a lot stronger arm” than his former QB Drew Brees. This prompted numerous Saints fans to decry Moore’s remark on social media, calling the receiver ungrateful and reminding him New Orleans would meet Pittsburgh in November. After reading what Moore actually said and the way he phrased it, this outcry by Saints fans seems like an overreaction. We all know Lance well enough to know he wouldn't intentionally set out to insult Brees or purposely rile Saints fans. In response, Moore tweeted, “Everybody down south is mad now? Never said I disliked Drew or am not thankful for my time (with) him. Wouldn't be where I am (without) him. Chill out.”

New Steelers WR Lance Moore adjusting to Ben Roethlisberger - ESPN
"I would say that Ben has a little bit stronger of an arm, maybe a lot stronger arm," Moore said. "Just from the last couple of days with him here, that's something that kind of jumps out at me. If you are kind of lazy with your eyes the ball will zoom right past you. That's something that I will have to adjust to. I feel like the quarterback should never really have to adjust to the receiver."
