The New Orleans Saints now have a giant hole to fill on the offensive line as Brian De La Puente leaves his role as starting center to join the Chicago Bears. Here's his message to the fans:
Thank you #WhoDatNation for the love & support. Thank you @Saints, my great teammates & coaches. Excited about this next chapter! #BearDown

While it is not surprising DLP is leaving to rejoin his former coach Aaron Kromer, it is pretty surprising that he is leaving New Orleans to become a backup center to Roberto Garza and he will reportedly make the league minimum. The Saints may now turn their sights to former center Jonathan Goodwin, who is currently a free agent after not being retained by the 49ers. More intrigue to come during the Saints' offseason.
Thanks go out to Meethos (King of the Peeps) for breaking the news.
