Your decision can be based on anything you'd like, whether it's on the field performance, off the field antics, or anything in between. I highly encourage those veteran fans to share there memories of some of the older persons in question and make their arguments for or against. Younger members may want to wait and read what the veterans have to say before placing their vote.

To help you make your decision here's a little more info on today's contestants, courtesy of BewareofDog:

Russell Erxleben (P 1979-1983) - Ah, yes. The Mecom years. Such memories. Um, can we stop now? No?Okay. The Saints selected Erxleben with the 11th pick of the first round in 1979. To call it a bad draft pick or say that Erxleben was a complete bust is an understatement and only part of the story. Where do we even begin with this guy? Well, there is his very first game as a Saint when the snap goes over his head for a punt in overtime against the Falcons and he throws a pass which was intercepted for touchdown. Falcons win 40-34 in the Dome. There's also the first two games of 1980 when he missed 3 of 5 FGs in losses to the 49ers and Bears which ended his duties as the Saints FG kicker. Although he was drafted to be a kicker/punter for the Saints he only made 4 of 8 FGs in his career. As a punter he was average at best and the Saints released him after the '83 season. The OTHER part of the story is Erxleben's career after football. He was convicted of securities fraud in 1999 and sentenced to seven years in prison. But, I guess he didn't learn his lesson because he was convicted earlier this year of running a Ponzi scheme and sentenced to another seven and a half years in prison.

Mike Buck (QB 1991-1993) - Okay. Mike buck. Yeah. I can just feel the hate beginning to surge within me. Let's see, um, my Mike Buck memories. Well, he started 1 game in 3 seasons with the Saints, a 37-26 loss to the Eagles in which he completed 1 of 7 passes for 14 yards and was sacked for a safety in the end zone. But, it was actually "Steve Walsh, Baby!" who played most of that game at QB and threw two pick sixes which caused the loss. So, uh....back to the drawing board. Let's see, Mike Buck hate. Um, was he a first round bust? No, the Saints drafted him in the sixth round in 1990. He was a project. Big arm, but a bit of a problem with accuracy. Although, he did have a decent completion percentage (58.3) in very limited snaps (60 passing attempts in 3 seasons). Alrighty, then. A sixth round project who completed 35 of 60 passes for 4 TDs and 4 INTs in 3 seasons. Just not really feeling the Mike Buck hate at the moment. Maybe it was his shoes? Or, the two picks against the Giants in '93? I don't know. Maybe one of y'all got something?
