Finally! The moment we've all been waiting for! After much anticipation, the 2014 NFL Draft kicks off live tonight at 8pm EST from Radio City Music Hall in New York.
The Saints have the 27th overall selection, assuming they don't trade up or down, so they won't be on the clock until later this evening. But we'll be watching and following along all night right here, so join us for a little community open thread.
I will keep this thread updated below with each team's draft pick and cross names off our Saints community Big Board as they're picked.
Update (7:01pm): The Saints are one of a few teams reported to talk with the Dolphins about moving up to 19th overall.
Update (7:16pm): Clowney is picked first overall. No surprise.
Update (7:32pm): So far, this is going well for the Saints. But it's early.
Update (7:37pm): The Bills trade up with the Browns to grab Sammy Watkins. Watkins was the No. 1 player on our CSC Community Big Board.
Update (7:51pm): Division rival Falcons get help on the offensive line with Jake Matthews.
Update (8:00pm): The Bucs just got taller and more dangerous in the passing game by selecting Mike Evans.
Update (8:46pm): Some of the top defensive talent is starting to get taken.
Update (9:18pm): The Dolphins stand pat at 19th overall and select OT Ja'Wuan James. No trade.
Update (9:25pm): The Saints trade up with Arizona! They pick Brandin Cooks!
Update (9:50pm): The Browns are moving around like it's a chess board, not a draft board.
Update (10:30pm): Lots more safeties drafted in the first round than expected. Deone Buccanon and Jimmie Ward were the biggest surprises of the night.
Update (10:45pm): The Seahawks take and finish the night.
