We haven't even started the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft but we've already got a good idea of what Brandin Cooks' first NFL contract will probably look like when he officially signs with the Saints this summer.
I asked salary cap expert Joel Corry from the National Football Post to tell me what he expects from the first round draft pick's contract.
By request: Brandin Cooks should sign a fully GTD 4-year, $8,383,452 deal w/a $1,524,264 '14 cap #. His signing bonus should be $4,417,056.

Corry thinks Cooks should cash in for about $8.5 million over four years and will get more than half of that up front. Cooks should only count about $1.5 million against this year's salary cap. According to the NFLPA the Saints are currently $3,450,141 under the cap so they've got room to spare.
