Saints News, 7/31/14: Saints Setting The 'Tone' In Chippy Practice

Two small scraps punctuated the Saints' practice session at the Greenbrier resort on Thursday, after defensive end Cam Jordan said there was a conscious effort to set a physical "tone" after an off day. Jordan was involved in one of the mini-scuffles, this one against rookie offensive tackle Tavon Rooks. The other tussle was between linebacker Curtis Lofton and running back Khiry Robinson. Drew Brees played peacemaker in that fight. In other news, be sure to check out the video interview between Mike Florio and Coach Payton. Interesting stuff including how Coach and his scouts don't plan to prepare for the Falcons by simply watching HBO's 'Hard Knocks.'

Greetings from the Greenbrier | ProFootballTalk
Saints fans hopefully will have added interest in the shows.  Fans of other NFC teams also may want to see what the Saints are up to, given that the Saints finally have found a way to win on the road in the postseason.  After beating the Eagles in Philly, the Saints gave the Seahawks all they could handle in Seattle.  If New Orleans can play like that on a consistent basis away from home in 2014, the road to the Super Bowl may once again go through the Superdome, making it much harder for anyone other than the Saints to qualify.

NFLPA monitoring evidence of collusion in light of cap increases | ProFootballTalk
In recent years, the salary cap hasn't been going up by much.  Which means spending hasn't been going up much.  With the cap going up, spending should go up, too.  And the NFLPA is making sure that other forces, such as collusion, won't be holding spending down.
