Saints Fans Vote Mark Ingram Offensive MVP of 2014

New, comments

When is the last time someone not named Drew Brees has been the offenses MVP in the heart of the fans. Congratulations Mark!

New Orleans Saints fans voted RB Mark Ingram as the team’s 2014 offensive MVP in a poll on the team’s website this week.

Ingram earned 33 percent of the 1,502 votes in the poll. Drew Brees (31%) and Kenny Stills (29%) rounded out the top three.

Despite missing four games due to injury, Ingram finished the season with 226 carries for career and team bests of 964 yards (4.3 avg.) and nine touchdowns.

Ingram’s nine rushing touchdowns were the most by a Saint since Pierre Thomas’ nine in 2008.

Ingram also hauled in 29 receptions for 145 yards (5.0 avg.)

Congratulations Mark. Mark would have just about had to reach that magical 1000 yards rushing milestone if not for his broken hand.
